This year, the Kids Clothes Club celebrates 20 years of providing new, free, warm winter coats to children in need in Great Boston! Twenty years. 75,000 coats. 250 agencies and organizations served in 200 cities and towns across Massachusetts. The most stunning figure: $1,500,000 raised; dollar by dollar, year by year.

The Kids Clothes Club began in 1990 when a few observant parents worked to ensure that every child in every class in every elementary school in Brookline were warm, dry and cozy as they made their way to school has grown to an organization that serves 6,500 children a year across Greater Boston and beyond. It’s been a generation. Our children and the children we helped in that first year are now in their mid-twenties. Over the years, we’ve worked hard to keep our grassroots connection to our community, and to engage new parents every year.

This season we gave out over 8,000 new warm and stylish coats. Our coffers are empty and we are getting ready to order for next winter. Help us hit he 10,000 mark and really make a difference here in New England!
