Dear Wonderful Kids Clothes Club Supporters,
It's beginning to get cold out now and
there are New England children who still have no warm
winter coat. Not surprisingly in this economic climate,
requests for coats are even more numerous this year then
last.
To know how important our work is, read
on from this letter we received in 2002 from Boston's Casa
Myrna Vazquez, the leading provider of residential and
community services for battered women and their children in
Massachusetts: "I don't know how to thank you for the
generosity of the Kids Clothes Club. Last year we were able
to provide new coats for each child in our program thanks
to your generous gift. We are so grateful that you are
going to perform your magic again this year! The weather is
already starting to get chilly and I could literally see a
huge weight lift off from the mom's shoulders and their
faces light up as I distributed the applications."
The Kids Clothes Club is proud to have
served these families, as well as many others throughout
our area, by giving the gift of a new warm winter coat to
over 6,000 children last year! The Kids Clothes Club
remains a grass roots organization of neighbors helping
neighbors, but we have extended our neighborhood boundaries
over the years and now serve over 100 organizations and
agencies in greater Boston. Please consider making a
special gift to the Kids Clothes Club. Every dollar you
give will go directly to providing coats for children who
need them.
